The climatic health resort of Berchtesgaden is located in the beautiful Bavarian Alps and is known worldwide because of the Watzmann and the Lake Königssee. Because of the extensive sporting activities in and around Berchtesgaden, there is something even for our younger guests. In summer, Berchtesgaden is an ideal destination for hikers, mountaineers, climbers, mountain bikers and paragliders. In winter, ski lifts, numerous cross-country skiing trails, winter hiking trails, toboggan runs, snowshoeing and an ice skating rink guarantee maximum winter pleasures.
From the Eagle's Nest you have an overwhelming panoramic view over the Berchtesgaden area and neighbouring Austria.
The salt mine in Berchtesgaden is worth another trip, waiting to be discovered by you with its hidden world of salt deep inside the mountain.

The Royal Palace and Deer Museum
The previous Augustinian Monastery and Summer Residence of the Bavarian Royal Family holds an Art Collection of 15th to 19th Century Statues, furnishings, weapons and Past Master paintings. There are 30 rooms and a Rose Garden. The Deer Museum holds a collection of Wild exhibits from Duke Albrecht of Bavaria

Dokumentation Obersalzberg
The Obersalzberg, Hitlers Holiday Retreat since 1923, became the second seat of Government, after Berlin, in 1933. The Exhibit shows the History of the Obersalzberg and explains the connection of the local area to the central manifestations of the NS Dictatorship.
Hintersee
For 3500 years 15 million cubic meters of rock fell from the Mountain Hochkalter and blocked the entire valley. The water of the resulted Hintersee wove its way through the large boulders thus creating, over a long period of time, a Fairytale landscape, that really enchants its walkers.
Alte Saline and Salt museum
The ownership of the saltwater springs and the Alte Saline in Bad Reichenhall brought power and wealth to the Bavarian Dukes. A visit to the Alte Saline and Salt Museum takes its guests back to the origins of the salt history. Also you will learn everything about the processing of the "White Gold" up to the present day.
Kehlsteinhaus
The Eagles Nest, with its meter thick foundations, opens up a grandiose view over the Berchtegadener Land. A tunnel takes you 124m or 406ft into the mountain to a magnificent Brass elevator. In just 41 seconds the lift will take you up another 406ft into the house itself.
Schifffahrt Königssee
Sail into paradise - take a boat ride over the crystal clear waters of the Königssee, in the heart of the National Park of Berchtesgaden, and enjoy the world famous "echo". All year round the electric boats glide across the Fjord styled Lake, passing overwhelmingly mountain backdrops by.
Nationalpark Berchtesgaden
The only alpine Nationalpark in Germany is in Berchtesgaden. Nature preservation, research and environmental education are practised here. The landscape is shaped by deep valleys, like at the Königssee and large Massives around the Watzmann.
Watzmann
The Mythical Watzmann is the central Massive in the Berchtesgaden Alps, that lies in the South Eastern part of Bavaria in the Berchtesgaden National Park. Its culmination point is the middle peak which stands at 2713m / 8901ft making it the highest point of the Berchtesgaden Region.
